edo Interactive Expands Executive Team
Recent $8.5M equity investment fuels team growth to accelerate technical development and build out strategic marketing initiatives
NASHVILLE and San Francisco – September 1, 2009 – edo Interactive, a pioneer in digital payment and marketing platforms, today announced the appointments of Jay Graves as Chief Technology Officer and Lisa McGinty as Vice President of Card Services. The company’s recent $8.5 million equity investment was used in part to expand the company’s management team in addition to accelerating the development and the build out of strategic marketing initiatives.
The addition of Graves and McGinty will support edo’s vision of connecting savvy buyers and premier global brands by using digital incentives. Through edo, retailers and brands can leverage pre-existing global payment networks using edo’s marketing channel to target the right offer or message to the right audience, at the right time, ultimately driving purchase behavior. This new model of digital incentives, known as Prewards®, provides a “call-to-action” that moves consumers from browsing to buying online and in physical stores.
“Both Lisa and Jay bring the right mix of entrepreneurial and business experience to the company and we are excited to have them join edo as we pursue our next phase of aggressive growth,” said edo CEO Ed Braswell. “The recent round of funding has allowed us to expand our management team as we scale the business.”
Graves will join edo as Chief Technology Officer, focusing on expanding edo’s technology platform and product portfolio. He brings deep expertise in building marketing technology solutions and is a proven entrepreneur having co-founded database marketing agency SmartDM, which after 12 years was sold to Acxiom Corporation (NASDAQ: ACXM). Graves joins edo most recently from marketing services provider Merkle, Inc. where he was vice president of product development.
In her new position, McGinty will manage business development for the edo card services group and lead the program management platform while developing issuer, processor, and association certification. McGinty comes from a deep background in the prepaid space and third-party gift card industries, previously playing senior roles in product management and business development at MCI, Pre Holdings and Incomm. edo designs and executes customized affinity card programs for large brands that want to build a one-to-one relationship with their customers. Companies are using edo’s card management platform as a cost-effective, safe and more efficient delivery solution over cash or check distributions to consumers. The platform also includes peer-to-peer gifting, bill payment, integration into social networks, and mobile applications for convenient account management.
