edō Interactive Announces Company Launch
Company offers innovative and unique products to revolutionize businesses approach to marketing
May 20, 2008; Nashville, TN – edō Interactive, a pioneer in the development of technologies that utilize pre-existing payments infrastructure and modern social networking communities for digital marketing purposes formally launched today.
edō Interactive will initially offer two products – the edō Marketing Platform and the facecard Prepaid MasterCard®. The edō Marketing Platform is a “new-to-world” (patent pending) behavioral targeting and advertising platform that provides a powerful alternative from traditional media for marketers. The edō Marketing Platform allows smaller advertisers who are constrained by a tighter budget to have access to big business marketing tools.
“In an era year when internet advertising accounts for 9.7 percent of world ad expenditures and will reach $67 billion by 2010, edō Interactive’s innovative and unique products will change the way businesses approach marketing and their expected return on investment,” said Ed Braswell, CEO of edō Interactive.
The facecard Prepaid MasterCard® targets an immediately addressable, fast growing, multi-billion dollar market opportunity in prepaid cards serving young adults. By creating “membership” programs, facecard creates purchasing power for consumers while addressing major pain points for retailers. The initial launch is in Tennessee, followed by a Southeast regional rollout and then nationally beginning in August.
“edō Interactive is offering and will continue to offer products with a level of sophistication that will change the way manufacturers, retailers and ad agencies think about marketing campaigns,” said Braswell. “There is no company that combines marketing, banking and social networking to the degree that we do.”
MasterCard is a registered trademark of MasterCard International Incorporated.
The Facecard Prepaid MasterCard is issued by MetaBank pursuant to license by MasterCard International Incorporated.

edō Interactive Launches Facecard Prepaid MasterCard®, a Financial Tool for Young Adults
Revolutionary new product combines convenience, safety and purchasing power
May 28, 2008; Nashville, TN – edō Interactive, a pioneer in the development of technologies that utilize pre-existing payments infrastructure and modern social networking communities for digital marketing purposes, today introduced the Facecard Prepaid MasterCard®. Facecard will deliver an incentivized payment option to the 82 million millennials – young adults – while giving parents peace of mind about their finances.
Facecard is accepted wherever Debit MasterCard is accepted and is combined with advertiser-issued Prewards™ and edōCash™. It creates a medium of exchange that simplifies and streamlines spending and gifting among millennials. Most importantly, Facecard does not allow overspending, which means no overdraft fees, period. Parents are able to empower spending for millennials in their family rather than simply control spending.
“Facecard fixes the dilemma that exists for parents who want to teach millennials about financial literacy but protect them from financial danger,” said Ed Braswell, edō Interactive CEO. “As a parent, one can monitor spending habits and because overspending is not possible, there are no more surprises when they see overdraft fees on their statement.”
Facecard is a single payment solution for purchasing, gifting and payroll services that is accessible through the online sites young adults visit most. It is a universal gift card that replaces multiple closed loop gift cards and serves as a one-stop personalized gift registry, gift exchange and peer-to-peer payment system.
Facecard Members receive Prewards™, which are deposits on their Facecard to be used at their favorite retailers or edōCash™. Members can check their balance online and create a customizable profile to receive the Prewards they desire.
There will be no activation or monthly maintenance fees for the first 250,000 Members who sign up for a Facecard. The Facecard website (www.facecard.com) is online as a beta program where members may order a Facecard, log-in to manage their accounts and edit their profile.
edō Interactive is a company that was started in 2007 and is formally launching their first membership product, Facecard, this summer. The initial launch is taking place in Tennessee followed by a Southeast regional rollout. Facecard will launch nationally beginning in August.
MasterCard is a registered trademark of MasterCard International Incorporated.
